When safety and efficiency matter, even the smallest details can have a significant impact. That’s why TecRMI has introduced a new feature in the Webservice that highlights information about bolts and nuts with limited reuse—commonly referred to as “single use nuts and bolts.”
The challenge so far
Information on fasteners with limited reuse has long been available in TecRMI within the Adjustment Data module—specifically in the torque overview. However, this data is typically accessed during the execution phase of a repair. If the relevant parts have not been ordered in advance, workshops face delays or may risk reusing parts that should be replaced.
The new feature
With the introduction of the WorkMetadata method, TecRMI Webservice now surfaces this information earlier—at the planning stage. After selecting a specific work item, users see an active indication of whether it involves single use nuts and bolts. This allows users already in the quotation preparation stage to check whether they need to include additional bolts or nuts in the quotation and parts order. This allows for better preparation and more accurate parts planning.
Benefits for workshops
- Early visibility of fastener reuse limitations during job preparation
- Improved efficiency thanks to optimised planning reliability
- Reduced risk of work interruptions due to missing parts
- Improved compliance with manufacturer repair requirements
Benefits for wholesalers
- Ability to advise customers of the need for additional bolts or nuts at an early stage
- Improved service quality and customer satisfaction
- Active support for the sale of spare parts
This enhancement underlines TecRMI’s commitment to supporting workshops and wholesalers with reliable, manufacturer-compliant, and efficient repair workflows—offering greater transparency throughout the repair process.
