On 1 September, our Weikersheim (Germany) site welcomed six new apprentices and dual students. With a well-prepared onboarding program, a strong sense of community, and dedicated support, their training journey has begun with energy and enthusiasm.
This year’s new colleagues are beginning their training in the following areas:
- Application Development
- Bachelor of Science – Business Informatics
- Bachelor of Science – Applied Computer Science
- Bachelor of Arts – Human Resources
Onboarding With Team Spirit
“From signing the contract to the first day – and beyond – our onboarding program is more than just an introduction. It’s the beginning of a shared journey built on teamwork, support, and fun.” – Kerstin Langohr, Lead Vocational Training
Experienced trainees play a key role in guiding newcomers. They share practical tips, organize outings, and act as mentors throughout the early weeks. Team-building activities, creative learning formats such as LEGO® Serious Play, and a dedicated Scrum Day make the learning process engaging and interactive.
Our Learning Office provides a central space for acquiring IT basics – from programming and databases to HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Daily reflection sessions, personal check-ins, and surveys after the first months ensure that the onboarding program continues to evolve.
Looking Ahead
As TecAlliance continues to grow internationally, so does our training program. International applicants are welcome, provided they have C1-level German skills, and in their second year dual students have the opportunity to spend time abroad through their university or our Talent Academy.
With a focus on quality over quantity and by fostering long-term connections, we are proud of our high retention rate – and excited to see our new apprentices and students thrive.
