We successfully exhibited at Automechanika Dubai from October 2 to 4. Samy Mahta, our new Managing Director for Western Asia, and his team showcased a range of solutions designed to meet the evolving needs of the automotive aftermarket in the Middle East. Moreover, we announced the opening of our subsidiary in Morocco to support the digitalisation of the automotive aftermarket in Africa.

At Automechanika Dubai, we presented TecDoc Product Management Analytics (PMA), the online tool for automatic data analysis and reporting for product range and portfolio management. PMA can help to identify the potential of a product range through market gap and competitive analysis and provide insights into the vehicle coverage. Based on the analyses generated by PMA, product managers can try to enrich cross-references and make products more visible, identify new market needs and fill gaps.
Introducing Samy Mahta as Managing Director for Western Asia
Samy Mahta assumed the role as Managing Director for Western Asia at TecAlliance in May 2023. He brings over two decades of experience as a senior executive in the global automotive aftermarket industry. With a strong track record of leading business development efforts across Europe and the Middle East, Samy Mahta has previously held top managerial positions with organisations such as Tenneco and 1Parts (part of Auto Distribution Europe). He has successfully led sales and marketing teams in emerging markets, including the Middle East, Africa, Turkey, and Russia. Samy Mahta has lived in Lebanon, Belgium, and Dubai, holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration, and is a Belgian citizen based in Dubai.
With our global presence we are well-positioned to provide accurate data sourced from different continents. Our initial focus markets in the region include the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Israel, Jordan, Kuwait, and Qatar.
Expanding into the Maghreb region
We were thrilled to announce our upcoming subsidiary in Casablanca, Morocco. This expansion reflects our dedication to supporting the digitalisation of the growing automotive aftermarket in Africa. After the opening of a subsidiary in Johannesburg, South Africa, in 2021, we are now establishing a second branch in Africa in Morocco. This will enhance local access to our global data offerings and facilitate collaboration with stakeholders from French and Arabic-speaking countries in the region.
