CARUSO Dataplace Adds Hyundai to Its Platform, One Integration for Fleet and Privately-Owned Vehicles
)
Our subsidiary CARUSO, Europe’s leading neutral automotive data marketplace, announces the integration of Hyundai onto the CARUSO Dataplace platform. The agreement gives service providers, from fleet management software companies and insurers to workshops and mobility platforms, access to standardized, real-time Hyundai vehicle data through a single, hardware-free API connection.
The Hyundai integration is available through both channels of the CARUSO Dataplace. The B2B channel covers company and fleet-owned vehicles, while the B2C channel covers privately-owned vehicles. For service providers building on CARUSO, this means a single integration delivers access to both fleet and privately-owned connected Hyundai vehicles in supported European markets, regardless of ownership model.
One of Europe's Highest-Volume Connected Car Parcs
According to Hyundai Connected Mobility, more than 1.5 million connected Hyundai vehicles are already generating data across Europe, with connected data available in 43 countries and more than 80 datapoints exposed by the brand’s vehicle platforms. Supported models range from the i10, i20, i30, BAYON and INSTER to TUCSON, SANTA FE, STARIA, KONA and NEXO, as well as the fully electric IONIQ covering both Hyundai’s ICE range and its growing EV line-up,
Available data packages include odometer readings, aggregated trip data, location, vehicle event status, covering warning lights as well as door, ignition and charge plug status, fuel and charging level including battery state of charge and remaining range, tyre pressure monitoring, and diagnostic trouble codes. Data availability varies by model year and connectivity generation, and not all vehicle functions or datasets are available across all models.
Use Cases Enabled
Across both channels, the Hyundai data integration can support a broad range of practical applications developed by service providers on the platform. Fleet and leasing operators can automate digital logbook and mileage reporting, monitor the charging state and remaining range of electrified vehicles, and use diagnostic trouble codes for proactive maintenance planning. Insurers and roadside assistance providers can build services around location, vehicle status and event data, while workshop platforms can use service-relevant signals to prompt maintenance before a minor issue becomes a costly problem. These services are developed and delivered by CARUSO’s customers, building on data from the platform’s more than 30 OEM integrations.
"Hyundai is one of the highest-volume vehicle brands on European roads, and demand from our customers has been correspondingly strong. With both the B2B and the B2C channel now live, service providers can address fleet and privately-owned Hyundai vehicles through one integration on the CARUSO Dataplace. This is a significant step in our mission to make connected vehicle data simple, standardised and accessible."
— Christian Webel, Director Solutions, CARUSO GmbH
“Working with neutral marketplaces like CARUSO makes it easier for a wide ecosystem of service providers to access Hyundai vehicle data in a standardised and secure way, and to turn it into valuable services for drivers and fleets across Europe.”
— Miguel Pereira, Business Development Manager, Hyundai Connected Mobility GmbH
Consent and Privacy by Design
As with all OEM integrations on the CARUSO platform, access to Hyundai vehicle data is governed by an explicit consent framework. Fleet owners and operators authorise data sharing for the vehicles under their management through the B2B channel. For privately-owned vehicles accessed through the B2C channel, the vehicle owner grants consent directly, and retains the right to withdraw it at any time. No data is shared without the appropriate authorisation in place. CARUSO designs and operates its own consent management processes in line with GDPR requirements.
