We Launch MotoDoc to Digitise India’s Workshops

Fresh off a very successful ACMA Automechanika Delhi last week, we’re happy to share that the launch of MotoDoc together with Automoto at our booth drew strong interest from leading workshop chain stakeholders. MotoDoc is a next-generation garage operating system addressing one of the Indian aftermarket’s biggest gaps: the lack of structured data and digital continuity at the workshop level.

A Partnership Built on Shared Progress

We have been working together with Automoto in India for a few years now. In 2025, we took a major step forward by integrating the TecDoc Catalogue with Automoto’s GMS (Garage Management Solution). This integration lays the foundation for accurate, standardised, and scalable data flows at the point of repair, directly where workshops need it most.

This partnership will significantly accelerate our presence within India’s strong workshop network and open new business avenues for us to collaborate with leading parts manufacturers. Our objective is clear: improve data standardisation within TecDoc and deliver greater value to the overall aftermarket ecosystem.

Introducing MotoDoc: End-to-End Digital Continuity for Workshops

Together with Automoto, we unveiled MotoDoc at ACMA Automechanika New Delhi. MotoDoc has been designed as an end-to-end platform that manages the complete workshop workflow, from vehicle intake and diagnostics to parts identification, repair execution, billing, and customer engagement. Powered by the TecDoc Catalogue, the system enables accurate vehicle and parts identification, reducing misdiagnosis and improving repair efficiency.

“Our collaboration combines global data standards with local workshop realities. As a data partner, our role is to bring standardisation, transparency, and trust into the aftermarket, enabling workshops to identify the right part for the right vehicle—without guesswork”, said Ravish Deshpande, our Managing Director India.

Impact on the Indian Aftermarket

A key differentiator of MotoDoc is its use of AI-driven diagnostics and condition analysis, while deliberately keeping the interface simple for mechanics. Francis Jacob, Co-Founder of Automoto, explained that workshops are not expected to understand AI. Instead, the system converts complex diagnostics into clear, actionable instructions, allowing mechanics to focus purely on execution.

With its focus on intuitive adoption, data accuracy, and ecosystem-wide connectivity, MotoDoc aims to help transform India’s largely unorganised workshop sector into a more efficient, transparent, and digitally enabled aftermarket. Backed by our deep partnership with Automoto and the TecDoc data backbone, we’re setting the stage for scalable, standards-driven growth across workshops and parts manufacturers alike.
