We welcomed partners from across the automotive aftermarket to the China Customer Day in Shanghai on May 28. Under the theme “Smart Ecosystem, Lasting Value,” the event focused on digitalisation, market expansion, and the changing needs of companies operating both in China and international markets.

The event reflected our continued commitment to supporting the Chinese aftermarket with practical data, digital tools, and local expertise. Attendance doubled compared to the previous year, with participants including international buying groups, e-commerce platforms, parts manufacturers, and automotive service providers.

A key topic was the growing role of Chinese aftermarket companies. As more businesses expand into new markets, they need reliable product data, accurate parts identification, efficient order processes, and a clear understanding of local requirements. We addressed these topics by presenting our data capabilities and solutions developed for the Chinese market.

During the event, we shared updates on our core business performance in 2025, including progress in data services, order processing, and supplier support. We also presented insights based on vehicle data covering 77 countries and territories, with a closer look at aftermarket developments in regions such as Europe and South America.

These insights covered key developments, including the growth of electric and hybrid vehicles, the aging global vehicle parc, and the continued rise of vehicle exports from China. By combining market data with our aftermarket expertise, we aim to help partners better understand target markets and make informed decisions for international expansion.

Another highlight was the presentation of our updated digital product portfolio and strategic roadmap. We introduced three key areas for the Chinese market: TecDoc ONE for product data management across markets and automotive standards, localised digital services tailored to China, and a cross-border data retail management system.

These solutions are designed to address common challenges, including inconsistent parts matching, fragmented data processes, and the operational complexity of selling in overseas markets. We also outlined future development areas, including commercial vehicle data, off-road vehicle data, and AI-supported product and process improvements.

The China Customer Day strengthened the exchange between TecAlliance and its partners in China. It also highlighted our ability to combine global aftermarket experience with local market understanding.

Looking ahead, we will continue to develop our “In China, For China” approach. Through close cooperation with partners and continuous improvements to our digital solutions, we aim to support a more connected, efficient, and sustainable automotive aftermarket ecosystem.
