1. Find the right tyre quickly and easily in the TecDoc Catalogue
When it comes to safety, tyres are one of the most important components of a vehicle.
We are proud that the tyre product category has been available in the TecDoc Catalogue, in the Web Service, and the TecDoc data packages since the beginning of the year. The summer, winter, and all-season tyres suitable for the vehicle are displayed based on the size specification or a vehicle search. The first tyre manufacturer to be included has been Continental. Continental presents its brands Continental, Uniroyal, Semperit, Barum, General Tire, Viking, Gislaved, Mabor, and Matador in the TecDoc Catalogue. With the new tyre product group in the TecDoc Catalogue, we offer a simple and efficient channel for identification and distribution in the automotive aftermarket. We are supporting the tyre industry in delivering their tyre data by converting it from the tyre industry exchange standard (PRICAT) into the TecDoc standard.

2. Quick and easy digital service book entry with TecRMI
How to easily perform digital service book entries? With the help of our TecRMI Service Book, online service book entries can be carried out in a standardised and manufacturer-compliant way with a few clicks. It offers process for recording online service book entries for currently 14 vehicle manufacturers. The transmitted entries are furthermore technically validated by our TecRMI automotive specialists and transferred to the vehicle manufacturer portals. Workshops thus benefit from time and cost savings due to the reduced administrative effort. In addition, manufacturer compliance is ensured thanks to the TecRMI data. Vehicle identification is supported by an intelligent search using the vehicle identification number (VIN). Data entry follows a process that is standardised across all vehicle manufacturers. Based on the integrated TecRMI repair and maintenance data, a selection of manufacturer-compliant main and additional service work is available for the selected vehicle. The Service Book is available for the German market, but the digital service book entry will also be supported in other countries soon.

3. Certificate of Excellence – We introduce a new quality label for our TecCom parts suppliers
In February 2022, we introduced the quality label “TecCom Certified Supplier” for parts suppliers connected to our TecCom B2B platform. TecCom Excellence Program validates and certifies the message quality delivered by parts suppliers. This considers customers’ requirements for data consistency and standardisation. For us, Data quality is a competitive advantage. We give parts suppliers a strong incentive with the label “TecCom Certified Supplier”, which allows them to display their high quality. Prior to certification, the message format is analysed in close cooperation with our team. The validation translates into a star rating system visible for all the buyer organisations connected to the TecCom Portal. With our new initiative, we enable buyers to benefit from an enhancement in message quality. We are eager to ensure that our suppliers’ great success in adhering to our quality standards will be recognised throughout the industry.

4. CARUSO is one of the winners of the Zurich Innovation Championship
Our subsidiary CARUSO was selected from over 2,600 submissions as one of the twelve global winners to work together with Zurich on the future of insurance in May. The Zurich Innovation Championship is a global startup tournament through which Zurich Insurance Group (Zurich) seeks ground-breaking ideas to bring compelling products or services to their customers and employees. Through four tournament categories – insurance reimagined, prevention and mitigation, simplicity, and sustainability – Zurich was looking for a broad spectrum of initiatives to help them prepare for the future of insurance. The Caruso Team is happy and feels honored to have been selected as one of the global winners by Zurich. The company was the only winner coming from the automotive sector. 5. Analyse your maintenance and wear data with TecFleet Reporting
Launched in June 2022, the reporting tool of the TecFleet platform offers the possibility to draw important conclusions from your business-related data. The functions of the reporting tool are based on the leading business intelligence tool Power BI, which enables you to access evaluations and analyses of your data easily and quickly. We provide you with all data related to maintenance and wear-and-tear repairs on the TecFleet platform. Thanks to daily synchronisation, the data is always up-to-date. You therefore benefit from valuable insights based on daily analyses to continuously monitor and optimise your processes. With the new TecFleet reporting function, you have access to numerous options for evaluating your data stock. The analysis of your maintenance and wear data supports you in generating decisive insights for your company. For this purpose, you have the possibility to choose from various tools, create your own reports and dashboards and thus use your reporting individually and adapted to your needs.

6. Automechanika Frankfurt: We connected the aftermarket community
We were having a blast at Automechanika Frankfurt in September! At booth B50 in Hall 3.0 and in the eBay e-commerce lounge in Hall 4.0 F 61B, we presented our latest developments and proven solutions that support parts manufacturers, wholesalers and workshops in digitisation, process optimisation and e-commerce. Nothing can replace personal contact. That is certainly one of the key learnings of the past months. At our professional content studio at the upper floor of our booth we recorded talks with our customers and partners that provided important impetus for the digital future of the industry. At our booth in the eBay e-commerce lounge, we were pleased to show, with our long-standing partner eBay and other partners from our ecosystem, how parts manufacturers and dealers can successfully use the TecDoc Standard and our solutions to make the most of the potential in e-commerce.


7. We launched our interview series TecTalk
We connect the automotive aftermarket community. Therefore, many well-known players accepted the invitation to the professional video studio at our booth at Automechanika Frankfurt. The result: TecTalk, that is exciting interviews on trending topics that move the independent automotive aftermarket. Since October, we’ve been started to publish new content every Wednesday. A total of eleven episodes of the podcast and video series were recorded during Automechanika Frankfurt. Christian Müller, our Vice President Marketing, acts as host while he interviews a wide range of partners from the aftermarket ecosystem.

8. We are again of “Germany’s best training companies”
For the sixth time in a row, the German business magazine Capital has named us as one of “Germany’s best training companies”. We are happy that we received the award, once again with 5 of 5 stars in the areas of “vocational training” and “dual studies”. A total of 751 companies took part in the comprehensive study, which was carried out from the beginning of March to the end of May this year. The participating companies include Dax corporations and public authorities as well as medium-sized companies and craft workshops. For almost 20 years, we have been qualifying young people for a successful professional future in various apprenticeships and dual study programmes. Many trainees decide to continue their dual studies with us after graduation. And almost 90 percent of all trainees were offered a job after graduation.


9. Our event pipeline in 2022
We always try to be close to our customers and prospects around the world to provide in-depth information about our products and latest developments. Whether at Motortec Madrid in Spain, Autopromotec Bologna in Italy, INA PAACE Automechanika in Mexico, EquipAuto in France, Automechanika Dubai or AAPEX show in the USA – We are present as an innovative and global partner for the independent automotive aftermarket almost anywhere. It’s a great way for us to ensure to stay up to date with the latest insights and trends, or networking to build on quality leads.
After a long time, it was possible to get into personal contact with our data users and data suppliers. We are proud that the TecCom User Groups in Europe, the TecRMI User Groups and the TecDoc Info Days took place this year, they brought valuable insights and exchanges with our customers.
10. Key Figures of our TecDoc Catalogue Solutions
We are constantly working on improvements and try to make our solution constantly better with every step. In 2022, our TecDoc Catalogue underwent 25 new releases delivering more than 1200+ improvements, bug fixes and new functionalities to more than 54,000+ users.
We did it! Web Service is our comfortable solution to integrate the comprehensive TecDoc Catalogue data into your own shop or catalogue solution using an interface (API). We are proud that our solution reached 32 billion requests in 2022!
