We celebrate the 15th anniversary of our location in Weikersheim

On 8 August 2023, we will celebrate our 15th anniversary at the “Tauberhöhe” business park in Weikersheim, Germany. The anniversary marks a significant milestone for us. In 2013, TecAlliance emerged from the merger of the companies TecDoc (Cologne), TecCom (Ismaning near Munich), Headline (Maastricht) and AuDaCon (Weikersheim). Since then, we have offered a strong digital data and process portfolio across the entire value chain in the automotive aftermarket.

“We look back with pride on 15 years of successful business activity at the Weikersheim-Tauberhöhe site and look forward to a successful and sustainable future,” explains Ralf Pelkmann, Executive Vice President Information Management at TecAlliance, who himself witnessed the construction of the new building and the move into Kreuzstraße in 2008.

Sustainable commitment to training and dual studies

For years, we have placed a special focus on training qualified junior staff at our Weikersheim-Tauberhöhe location in order to strengthen our talent pool in the long term. We offer apprenticeships and dual study programmes in the fields of information technology, management and international sales.

So far, we have successfully accompanied around 150 school graduates on their way to a vocational or university degree in eight different professions. For this, the renowned German business magazine Capital has already awarded us six times as one of “Germany’s Best Training Companies”.

Extensive investments on the way to climate neutrality

As early as 2008, our company building at the Weikersheim site was constructed using a climate-friendly timber frame construction method and was equipped with smart ventilation systems, a heat pump with geothermal energy, building control technology and a PV system. In a constant effort to achieve sustainability, we have taken numerous other measures to become CO2-neutral by 2030. These include the modernisation of the heat pump, the switch to green electricity, the partial use of our own electricity from the PV system, the purchase of electric pool vehicles, the installation of five e-mobility charging points and the conversion to energy-efficient LED lighting.

In the current year, we are planning further investments of around 800,000 euros at the Weikersheim site for the expansion of the PV system above the car parks, the installation of 20 e-mobility charging points and battery storage. These measures are intended to help save CO2 and make our company even more sustainable. Employees already benefit from a job bike option, freely available e-charging points at the site and a company car scheme that promotes e-mobility. The flexible home office scheme alone is expected to save 209 tonnes of climate-damaging CO2 per year, while the company building’s use of its own electricity is expected to reduce a further 60 tonnes of CO2.

For our commitment in various sustainability initiatives, we were awarded a silver medal in the 2023 EcoVadis sustainability rating. This award puts us in the top 25 % of over 100,000 companies rated worldwide.
