The Inheritance module allows TecDoc ONE users to set up an inheritance pattern between parent and child articles. The child article automatically inherits its data from the parent, staying synchronized with updates at the parent level while maintaining the option to override specific fields where necessary. This functionality gives full flexibility to users who need both consistency and adaptability in their data structures. It is particularly powerful for managing multiple brands simultaneously or brands with multi product lines, significantly reducing manual work and minimizing data inconsistencies. From Engine to Vehicle: Streamline Linkages with Engine Transposition
The Engine Transposition feature enables TecDoc ONE users to efficiently propagate linkages from engine targets to passenger car (PC) and heavy-duty (HD) targets. Users can select existing engine-based linkages and automatically transpose K/N-Types and related attributes. This ensures consistency across datasets and drastically reduces manual workload when maintaining vehicle associations.
Close Data Gaps with the New TecDoc Gap Analysis Report
The new Gap Analysis report, available in the Reporting Area, helps users identify where product data linkages are missing. It highlights articles not connected to any target type (Unlinked Articles) and reveals target types or specific vehicle models that are missing within an article’s coverage (Unlinked Targets). This report offers valuable insights into data completeness and supports continuous improvement of data quality and TecDoc conformity.
