Breakfast Session Opens Autopromotec 2025 with Strategic Insights

Last May 22nd, we marked the second day of Autopromotec 2025 with our traditional Breakfast Session, welcoming a select group of customers and partners to an early-morning event. Hosted in a focused setting away from the trade show floor, the session offered a clear, in-depth look our latest developments across vehicle data, workshop processes, and digital integration.

With a strong focus on practical innovation and data-driven solutions, we used the session to highlight our ongoing commitment to empowering the Independent Automotive Aftermarket through collaboration, accuracy, and transparency.

TecDoc: Enriched Data for a Changing Vehicle Landscape

The TecDoc segment of the session addressed the evolving complexity of vehicle identification and parts data. At the core was the introduction of KType+, our improved reference data standard that now includes a broader set of vehicle attributes particularly relevant for identifying parts in modern hybrid and electric vehicles. These enhancements are part of a wider effort to ensure unambiguous parts allocation and better serve the growing diversity of the vehicle parc.

Attendees were also introduced to the new Vehicle Identification Service, which unifies multiple national vehicle registration systems (VRMs) into a streamlined, single-access solution. With one unified integration point and a consistent data model, customers benefit from a streamlined experience and transparent vehicle information regardless of the market.

Another important update was the presentation of VIN2OE, now available for cars, trucks, and trailers. The service enables users to retrieve OE reference numbers directly from a VIN, either through a white-label iframe or API, greatly simplifying the quoting and parts sourcing process.

Additionally, the latest developments in VIO N.U.T.S. data were shared, including expanded geographic granularity for several new and existing countries. This level of detail supports more targeted decision-making across inventory planning, sales forecasting, and market segmentation.

TecRMI: Smarter Maintenance, Repair and Diagnostic Processes

The second half of the session focused on the latest TecRMI solutions that streamline workshop operations and strengthen diagnostic reliability.

Also presented was TecRMI Service Book, our solution for digital, manufacturer-compliant service book documentation management. With growing coverage across European markets, the tool allows workshops to document, manage, and store service entries in line with manufacturer standards—reducing admin overhead and safeguarding vehicle warranty compliance. Participants showed particular interest in how Service Book can support traceability and provide added value to both independent workshops and fleet operators.

A brief demonstration of the Direct Acceptance Tool rounded out the session. Designed to digitalise the vehicle intake process, it helps workshops document relevant vehicle details, vehicle condition and identify upselling opportunities—all through a structured digital workflow.

A Strong Start to the Show

The Breakfast Session once again proved to be a valuable forum for strategic exchange, showcasing how TecDoc and TecRMI solutions are addressing the needs of today’s aftermarket while anticipating tomorrow’s demands.

Participants left with a clearer understanding of how we are supporting the shift to digital-first, data-driven workshop environments—setting the tone for a productive and engaging Autopromotec 2025.
