Fourth and TecAlliance have consolidated sales and support services for their eparts and Order Manager products in the UK and Ireland. In 2007, the TecCom and eparts services were linked under a joint marketing initiative called PACT. Its aim was to facilitate effective electronic trading between parts manufacturers and distributors in those countries.
The initiative has connected nearly 2,500 motor factor locations with over 100 leading UK suppliers and works in partnership with all major buying groups and independent distributors. PACT offers solutions for both new entrants and established businesses and has provided a common electronic trading solutions to the trade since 2007. For suppliers and buyers alike, PACT aims to enable a business to remove the cost of unnecessary manual repetitive trading processes and bring about efficiencies in its supply chain.
The evolution of the PACT agreement will now see Mark Rudge head up operations in the UK as a sole, central point of contact. Managing sales and service delivery for both Order Manager and eparts, the simplified structure will aim to deliver value for all PACT enabled users through localised first line support and account management.
Xavier Thiberge, our Sales Manager Europe – Partner Management, Business Unit Order Manager, says: “Bringing eparts and Order Manager sales and support even closer together has enormous benefits for our PACT customers and we are delighted to be able to transition to this combined service in the UK so effectively.”
