For the first time TecAlliance held User Group Meetings for TecRMI users from the DACH region (Germany, Austria and Switzerland) and the Benelux countries. Around 20 participants each came to the meetings on 4 June 2014 in Frankfurt/Kelsterbach (Germany) and on 5 June 2014 in Lienden (Netherlands).

The goal of the events was to bring together TecRMI data users to inform them about the latest TecRMI developments and discuss market requirements with them so that they are considered in the future development of the TecRMI sector solution. Participants particularly valued the opportunity to exchange views with other experts in the repair and maintenance sector.

In both events Ralf Pelkmann (Vice President Information Management – TecRMI) presented general information about the strategic importance of TecRMI as a TecAlliance brand. He gave an overview of the different TecRMI solutions and contents and explained the most recent developments and planned future areas of emphasis. In two discussion groups the users had the chance to make known their wishes and expectations for the TecRMI User Group and TecRMI.

“With the TecRMI User Group we have created an additional communication platform ‘from the business for the business’ under the umbrella of TecAlliance. For us it is a chance to learn more about the wishes and requirements of our data users. Participants have the unique possibility to see how other RMI experts use the TecAlliance data and talk with them about it. The first two meetings have already shown us that the TecRMI User Groups will play an important role in the continuous optimisation of the sector solution TecRMI,“ says Pelkmann in summarising his impressions after the events.
