The 40th technical conference of Touring Club Switzerland (TCS) took place on 23. and 24. September 2020. The TCS association is the largest mobility club in Switzerland with approximately 1.5 million members. TecAlliance GmbH could attend the annual event of TCS in Appenzell and had the opportunity to provide training for the participants in the field of repair and maintenance data (TecRMI) and auditing (Invoice Verification (TecAudit)). Due to a long-term cooperation of TCS and TecAlliance a friendly relationship has developed, which was further strengthened by the conference participation.

The event started with a visit of the Appenzeller “Alpenlikör” brewery and a dinner to get to know each other and to network. The dinner took place near the Säntis, the highest mountain in the region Alpstein.

The next day, the conference started on the Säntis at an altitude of 2,200 m above sea level with a beautiful panoramic view. The morning was dedicated to the topics of CO2 reduction, alternative drive energies and the future of mobility in Switzerland. Selected experts from the automotive sector, research and industry were invited to the discussion. The experts’ conclusion: e-mobility is not the only alternative for the future, as it may not be the right or most sustainable option.

In the afternoon Markus Diesch, Arthur Selescu und Christian Dontenville Business Unit Fleet Manager at TecAlliance held a two-hour training session for all participants of the TCS conference. The training provided information on how the participants can use the TecAlliance solutions TecRMI and Invoice Verification (TecAudit) to make their processes more efficient and thus save time and money. The variety of processes that can be optimized ranges from the creation of cost estimates to the use of maintenance plans and invoice verification. In addition, the TecRMI modules Technical Manuals, Adjust, Tires, SOS, Graphical Selection, Circuit Diagrams and Diagnostic Data were explained. The feedback of the participants was consistently positive. The modules of the solution are easy to understand, simple to use, well-structured and and the underlying data is very reliable.

Christian Dontenville, Sales Manager Fleet & Leasing, described the conference as “a very interesting event on the subject of mobility solutions which showed that TecAlliance data and systems are highly valued, especially in Switzerland”. All in all, it was a successful two-day event for TecAlliance and TCS. Due to the successful presentation of TecAlliance the functions of the solutions were demonstrated, trust was increased and thus the relationship with TCS was strengthened.
