We had a successful debut from June 4 to 6 at Automechanika Birmingham, which has established itself as the most important aftermarket event in the UK. The new record of 500 exhibitors and more than 12,000 industry experts cold be sensed from the crowd at our booth. Visitors’ focus was clearly on data-driven solutions to drive their business forward in the future.
This was a “perfect match” for our trade fair team that was all set to inform potential customers and partners from industry, trade and workshops about new developments in our portfolio. “The eve of a trade fair always has you biting your nails about how things will go. Especially when you have invested so much time and money, as with Automechanika Birmingham,” recalls Shaun Greasley, Director and General Manager UK & Ireland. “That’s why I’m all the more pleased that the fair exceeded our expectations! We were able to establish hundreds of new contacts and inspire the visitors with our new products. The trend throughout the entire value chain is to data-driven solutions. At our booth, interested visitors had the opportunity to learn more about our range of product highlights. In addition to TecDoc Catalogue 3.0 and Entry Supply Web, which celebrated its successful premiere at Autopromotec Bologna, visitors focused on our newly developed business intelligence solution Demand Dashboard. With this new Analytics Manager module, product managers can specifically optimise their own product portfolios and make valid data-driven decisions.
During the fair, there were various keynotes on innovation, providing the right platform for our subsidiary Caruso. Dr. Ulrich Keil, Senior Technology Advisor Caruso, wowed the audience in the Aftermarket Theatre on June 4 with an inspiring keynote speech on “Fuelling the Mobility Ecosystem: Accessing & Monetising Data & Services”. He showed how, in the rapidly growing “Mobility Ecosystem”, the various vehicle data points can be transformed into valuable products and services.
