The wholesale distributor house Picard supplies the specialist trade for rolling bearings and linear technology worldwide. In order to secure its own processes in the best possible way and to design them effectively, the innovative company from Bochum has been using the oneIDentity+ service platform since March. For this purpose, the dealer uses the already extensively labelled products of various suppliers from Schaeffler and SKF to Timken or Nachi to check the authenticity of the goods when they are received. In addition, all recorded and checked product codes are automatically stored in Picard’s merchandise planning and control system. In cooperation with oneIDentity+, automated interfaces were established to retrieve the codes and provide further product information.

In addition to the use of products already marked by the manufacturer, Picard also marks its own end products of linear technology in order to provide its customers with detailed and product-specific information in digital form.

Picard is currently working together with oneIDentity+ on the implementation of area-wide product scans at the shipping area. In addition to product verification, the focus here is on documentation of delivery and possible return processes, therefore securing them. With the clear proof of the dispatched products, possible unjustified returns can be identified and thus sales losses as well as the harmful co-mingling of the own stock can be avoided.
