Autotech Egypt is the largest and most comprehensive trade show for the automotive aftermarket industry in North Africa. The event was held at the Egypt International Exhibition Centre (EIEC) in Cairo from December 13 – 15, 2019. It was the perfect place to meet top decision makers specialised in automotive spare parts, accessories, motorcar workshops, service station equipment and feeding industries from Egypt, Algeria and Morocco. Over three days, Autotech united more than 6,000 trade professionals from the auto aftermarket industry with carefully selected exhibiting suppliers and solution providers. More than 40% of Autotech’s audience attend to find the latest in parts and components.

Our VP Africa, Robert Szwed, took the chance to meet existing and potential customers. “The highly growing sector in North Africa is important for us. Autotech Egypt was a great opportunity to both keep up to date with latest market developments, and especially, to meet high-ranking personalities from the industry and to engage in a personal exchange with them“, says Szwed.

Based on research by Frost & Sullivan, the overall North African replacement part industry expected to grow at a CAGR 2.8% until 2021. The replacement parts market in Egypt dominates thanks to the highest number of vehicles in operation and despite having a slightly lower parts per vehicle. Industrial development in Egypt is characterized by the local automotive sector including one of the largest assembling industries in the region. Decline in the purchasing of new cars in Egypt has led to growth in the repair and maintenance sector. Garages and Repair Workshops must be equipped to deal with the increased levels of business and therefore repair and maintenance tools and machinery are in high demand.
