For the 25-year running, the French leading trade exhibition for the automotive industry made a welcome return to Paris Expo Porte de Versailles from 15 to 19 October: Equip Auto is being touted by aftermarket experts as the ideal opportunity to network, learn and discover what’s new in the market. More than 1,100 exhibitors & brands and 95,000 automotive aftersales experts from the EMEA zone came together in the heart of the French capital. This year’s motto was “Repairing today, preparing tomorrow”.

We were represented at the booth of our French partner GOLDA (Groupement pour l’Optimisation des Liaisons dans la Distribution Automobile). The IAM association was founded in 1996 by the French Vehicle Equipment Industry (FIEV) and the French Association for Automotive Distribution (FEDA).

GOLDA has been the exclusive distributor of our B2B platform Order Manager in France for years: With its comprehensive range of functions and practice-oriented architecture, the Order Manager is THE multi-functional tool that provides optimum support to our customers’ entire order-to-invoice process. In addition to the basic module Order for availability requests and all order-related processes, the solution includes the modules e-Invoicing for tax-compliant invoice processing, CMD for warehouse and logistic data and Warranty & Returns for claims processing. The Order Manager Portal also offers access to the entire range of TecDoc catalogue data.

Numerous visitors took great interest in our shared booth and dived deep into our well-known TecAlliance solutions such as DMM, web services for vehicle and spare parts data, the TecDoc catalogue or repair and maintenance data. “Equip Auto really exceeded our expectations by far. The show provided an inspiring platform for the exchange of experiences and ideas regarding existing and new technologies and future market demands in the automotive aftermarket”, said Claude Lotrian, Director Sales Western Europe & Latin America at TecAlliance. “We really had a great week. Everyone put in extra hours and a lot of attention to detail to make this event happen. We were having a lot of fun as a team! “

Good to know: The automotive industry is a vital part of the French economy. It is the 2nd largest manufacturing industry in Europe and represents more than 38 million vehicles. Thanks to the ageing car parc, the French automotive aftermarket continues to grow. At the same time, new challenges appear in this dynamic market, like connected cars, hybrid vehicles, or diesel decrease. On account of tighter emission standards, increasing e-mobility and digitalisation, French Tier-1 and Tier-2 businesses are still lagging behind some international competitors in terms of innovation, but are speeding up to close the gap. Business benefits from government initiatives and funds that support financing innovations and increased R&D.
