Some 180 participants came together for the International Data Suuplier Meeting held on 8 and 9 November 2016 at the Steigenberger Hotel in Berlin Charlottenburg. The program featured a guest lecture from Amazon Automotive and technical lectures and keynote speeches from TecAlliance Data & Solution Management experts. TecAlliance held the first-ever in-house exhibition, which was met with great interest. During round table talks the participants also had the opportunity to find out more about and share information on various topics in small groups. As in past years, all of the participants considered the opportunity to network to be particularly important.

This year the technical lectures dealt with highly topical issues such as the data management platform CARUSO, the TecAlliance strategy in view of the radical changes in the automotive aftermarket, and the most recent developments regarding data maintenance products and other TecAlliance solutions.

Guest speaker Tony Austin, Head of Marketing & Product Management Automotive Europe for Amazon, not only presented Amazon Automotive’s successful business model, but also offered an interesting insight into automotive e-commerce and gave valuable tips on how the trading platform can best be used by parts manufacturers.

During the subsequent round table talks the participants took the opportunity to engage in lively discussion, both among themselves and with TecAlliance experts. They exchanged information on specialised subjects in the field of data maintenance. In small groups they addressed topics from the four keynote sessions and also outlined their needs and requirements.

For the first time ever, the participating data experts had the opportunity to find out more about TecAlliance solutions from TecAlliance Data & Solution Management specialists with live demos, flyers and presentations  at eleven different info points during a TecAlliance in-house exhibition.

Once again it was clear how important it is to the parts manufacturers’ data specialists to share information with colleagues in the industry on an international level. The participants felt totally at ease in this familiar location and used not only the lunch and the evening event, but also the lectures, keynote sessions and round table talks for intensive and lively discussions.
