Weikersheim, Germany. 03 September 2019. TecAlliance welcomed a total of 20 new apprentices and co-op students on 2 September at the “Tauberhöhe” business park in Weikersheim, Germany, for the start of the training course. TecAlliance is one of the leading international providers of digital data and software solutions for vehicle replacement parts, maintenance and repair and has twice been voted the “Best Trainer in Germany” by the business magazine Capital. For the young school graduates, their time at TecAlliance begins with a 4-week orientation programme in which they learn about the company, its products and employees. The format puts priority on fun and team spirit.
In the first few days, the new apprentices and co-op students get to know one another by playing games and eating lunch together, establishing the initial contacts. They receive a lot of information about the company, the training course agenda and the individual business units and products. At the end of the first week of intensive training came the first highlight of the programme: an excursion to Schweinfurt with the apprentices from all the courses. An introduction to Scrum as a model for agile software development, the fundamentals of project management and presentation courses are parts of the onboarding phase, which lays the foundation for a successful training period.
“Well-trained IT specialists are one of the key factors for the success of our company in the future. Therefore, we rely on creative and innovative training methods, such as our learning workshop and our own training team. We enable our apprentices and students to work independently in a team, and we make every effort to create an open and informal work atmosphere,” explains Kerstin Langohr, Group Manager Vocational Training at TecAlliance. “Our approach is reflected in the above-average results achieved by our graduates every year, and we are proud of our very high post-training hiring rate.”
At TecAlliance, the hierarchies are flat; agile structures make it possible to quickly develop new skills and assume individual responsibility in cross-functional teams. Rotation to different locations in Germany, practical experience in international locations and study phases abroad provide insight into the different fields of work and open up development opportunities, also in international markets.
TecAlliance offers training for the following careers: IT specialist (application development – system integration), IT management assistant and IT system support specialist. Apprentices can also gain additional certificates, such as those for training or different specialised subjects. The academic part of the course is held at the Klara Oppenheimer Vocational School in Würzburg. TecAlliance’s graduates have been among the best in the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Heilbronn-Franconia in Baden-Württemberg.
TecAlliance is a “gold partner” of DHBW Mosbach [Cooperative State University] and has been offering various co-op programmes since 2007, including courses leading to a BSc (Information Systems – Applied IT), a BEng (Innovation and Product Management – International Technical Sales Management) and a BA (Online Media – International Business – Digital Business Management). DHBW students receive their theoretical training at the Bad Mergentheim, Lörrach or Mosbach campus.
