The shortage of skilled workers is a major issue everywhere. We have therefore been qualifying junior staff in various apprenticeships and dual study programs for years. With great success: The German business magazine Capital has already named us one of the “Best Trainers in Germany” four times, and the very good final grades and our high takeover rate also speak for the high training quality. On September 1, 2022, 14 apprentices and dual students started at our Weikersheim site.
“Training is of strategic importance to us in order to secure qualified specialists. We are pleased that we have once again been able to attract so many motivated trainees and students,” explains Kerstin Langohr, Group Manager Vocational Training.
For the young school graduates, their time here begins with a 4-week orientation programme in which they learn about our company, products and get to know the rest of the trainee team and other colleagues. The format puts priority on fun and team spirit.
Profound training, diverse opportunities
We offer a variety of training and study opportunities each year. This year, there are eight students in the fields of Applied Computer Science, International Business and Digital Business Management. Two of them had previously successfully completed their IT training with us. In addition, six prospective IT specialists have started their training.
“We want to win the trainees and students as skilled workers in the long term and therefore invest a lot in optimal training. And this commitment pays off: Every year our graduators shine with above-average grades and we are proud of our very high employment rate,” says Kerstin.
Our hierarchies are flat and the agile structures make it possible to quickly develop new skills and personal responsibility. Rotation at the various company locations in Germany and stays abroad offer insight into different fields of work and open up development opportunities in international markets as well.
